JIN

The illogical logic....

When more and more were using Sydney Airport, the share price went lower and lower with each good announcement.  The reverse occurred recently.

When a jackpot is not won and therefore, accumulates for the next one, more people buys that lottery.  The yearly report from JIN says that the more frequenty jackpots (>$15M) occur, the more punters are drawn in.  Yet like SYD, the same is occurring!

Fascinating how logic functions illogically!  Well, not my logic!

ALU

Some very highly respected fund managers have uttered that only fools buy stuff they don't understand.  And overpriced stocks will cost the foolish investors (like me) a lot in the long term.

However, when you read the year on year achievement, it is difficult to not understand and not to expect future wealth.

SYD

Often, in the short term, logic applies in the opposite direction.  SYD is moving up when fewer domestic travellers are using Sydney Airport and slightly more international visitors.  Over the year, it has gone up 20% but for a while it had been falling (while the number of visitors were going up!).
