Logic.... or rather illogic

How does the market determine the share price?  If logic is the basis, then I would have done very well.

Today SGQ went down so I collected a top up parcel at 12c.  It has been giving mostly good news so I don't understand why with successful exploration and progress...  yet investors are selling.  Perhaps, I am benefiting from illogical process!

AJX

It has been announcing new sales but the big one is yet to come.  It is the US Army's contract for flame retardant material for the soldiers.

However, there was a spike in the share price yesterday after announcing another contract.  Over the next few days, the share price usually falls again.  These are 'small' contract but there has been incremental sales.

When the military decides, that will make the share price go ballistic.  Hence, it can also go the other way!  But it looks promising.

IPT

When a stock makes a good announcement, it is rather puzzling when the market ignores it or worse still, sends its share price down.  You wonder why the existing investors are bailing out.

I had been making a big loss out of it but because it has been making encouraging noise, I had been reluctant to jettison our holding in it.  In fact, after the recent good finding, I topped up to average down my buy price.  I hope my strategy will be rewarding; i.e. buying on good news when the investors are selling.

GGG

It has found lots of rare earth elements in Greenland but encountered a lot of problems.  Why?  The minerals are mixed with uranium... lots of uranium.  So, it has to get approval for mining the uranium!  And Greenland is trying to be independent from Denmark so mining is now welcomed!

To sell rare earth elements, it is not easy.  You need a customer...  like everything else.  However, recently a big Sichuan company signed an MOU with GGG to buy its ore.  How good is that?  Yet the market dumped GGG, only to rise today above what I topped up with recently after that announcement.

SYD

This stock is over-rated according to some commentators.   But there is no letting up on tourists coming to Oz...

Today, when the price is $6.55, I picked up as parcel.

NEA

You have to be crazy to invest in any company that tries to reinvent the wheel...

Can you imagine an ASX-listed company trying to take on Google Map?  It made a loss at the last report but looks like it is turning!  Currently, all it does is Maps!  For me, it has leapt and leapt!

Banks

When a bank misbehaves, it is pointless to punish it with a financial caning.  By crippling it, there is a chain effect.  And if the management remains, then the seed for the cause is often still there.  If the culprit is still there AND the setting for the misbehave was created by the board, then what the bank needs is to purge the senior management and the culprit.

Wells Fargo and Deutsche Bank are good examples.  If all the around the world, banks were going to punished because of these two, then I was going to buy!  However, I am happy for stocks to rise overall and keep my cash untainted!
