SGQ

Once, when the market went crazy with the resource stocks, I had 26 stocks that jumped over 100%.  That was mania.  Today, even with proven resources I would be lucky to see it jump 10%.

And sometimes, it is very delayed before you see a real interest in a stock.  Today it is SGQ's turn.  For a long time, it has been bragging about its nickel resources.  Even after finding a big lode, it moved a bit.  Today, someone must know what those good announcements mean.  My holding in SGQ has gone up by nearly 3 times.

Disruptors

Warren Buffett said never buy any business that you don't understand.

But we all know that disruptors are around the corner and eating into the profit of established businesses.  How their software work and their modus operandi will be beyond most people.  If their profit is increasing, why ignore them?

Hence I bought into HUB today, based on an article I read on 20/11/17 in AFR.

And there is now WiseTech to consider, OneVue and NWL....

GTE

When you 'gamble' on the stock market, you collect as much information as you can.  And if you can preempt market response, then your chance of winning is better.  I only gamble when my odds favours me.

GTE has been exploring an area south and north of known goldfields, about 50-60km either way.  And so far the geology is the same.  Samples have been sent to the lab to check for gold...  I only bought a small parcel as it is a top-up from old holdings bought at a much higher price.

MLX

Recent announcement by MLX... and their share price is nothing like AXE, AUZ, or ARL.

So with the fall today, I am topping up!

Oil

When the price of oil tumbled, I never sold off my major oil producers.  Because they are producers and because oil is still in demand.  And they pay consistent dividends out of profit.  The price came down because of silly OPEC game, trying to demolish shale oil producers in the USA.  But Australian oil producers are not part of that game.

And when price of oil goes up, it affects the gas producers positively.
