Gold miners in Mali

 It is admirable, all those brave Australian gold explorers (and of other minerals too) in Africa, especially in the sub-Sahara.  I used to invest in them but sold out because while they were very good at finding the gold, it was very difficult to get them out of the ground.

Why?  Unstable, ineffectual and/or corrupt governments.  Couple that with Muslim fanatics/terrorists, you have a useless investment, no matter how much minerals or precious metals they found.

So with the recent military coup in Mali, the outcome for those miners is obvious.
